Dear GA Members, Colleagues and Executives,
Dear scientists involved in Medicinal Plant and Natural Product Research,
We are proud to announce the 73rd International Congress and Annual Meeting of the Society for Medicinal Plant and Natural Product Research (GA), jointly with Italian Society of Phytochemistry (SIF) which will be hosted at the Royal Continental Hotel, Naples, Italy from August 31 to September 3, 2025.
After exactly 20 years (the last Italian GA Meeting was the 53rd organized in Florence in 2005) the Society selected the Italian peninsula and in particular Naples as the 2025 Annual Congress location, this year jointly with SIF. Naples is one of the most beautiful and typical marine Italian cities, rich of historical places, traditions, ancient and modern arts, the perfect place to get inspired not only from a scientific point of view.
We believe that GA2025 will bring together renowned scientists from all over the world and we would be grateful if you could actively attend to this exciting event.
The conference aims at expanding the current knowledge on all aspects of natural product research. The scientific program will include invited keynote lectures, short lectures, poster sessions, as well as pre-event workshops; the following main scientific topics will be covered:
1. Ethnobiology - Ethnobotany –Ethnopharmacology
2. Chemistry and bioactivity of natural products (including terrestrial and marine source)
3. Analysis and authentication – Quality control – Metabolomics
4. Bioengineering, bioinformatics and chemoinformatics in natural products drug discovery
5. Biodiversity, circular bioeconomy, innovative green extraction procedures and climate change
6. Herbal medicinal products, natural cosmetics, nutraceutics, and food supplements from conception to the market – Botanical safety assessment
7. Essential oils - Clinical and environmental uses
8. Cutting edge technologies in natural product drug discovery, formulation and development
9. Fungi as medicines and functional foods - their potential and risks
10. Botanicals in veterinary medicine and feed
