The GA2025 Get-Together event/Welcome Reception will take place for all registered participants on Sunday, August 31, at the Conference Venue. A selection of snacks and drinks will be served. The Venue, located at the seafront of the city, sets the ideal scenery for welcoming GA2025 participants in Naples and sparkling the first scientific discussions.
Portici Royal Palace Visit and Social Dinner (REGISTRATION CLOSED!)

This year an informal social dinner will take place on Tuesday 2nd September 2025 in the Portici Royal Palace Botanical Garden, at an extra cost of 75 euros per person (60 euros for students). Extra tickets for accompanying persons can be purchased. Please note that availability is limited and social dinner booking will be closed once reached the venue maximum capacity.
The Royal Palace of Portici, surrounded by beautiful gardens and centuries old trees is a lesser known spot on the Naples Bay. Built in the 18th century as a Royal summer residence, it has frescos and elegant architecture, not to mention spectacular views of the sea and Vesuvius.
The cost of the social dinner includes participation in the tour "Journey Through Time: The Royal Site of Portici”. These unique, immersive tours blend history, art and science, guiding visitors through the many facets of the Royal Palace or of its surrounding landscape.
Journey Through Art:
Explore the historical and artistic treasures of the Royal Palace, beginning with the majestic monumental staircase, then continuing through the royal apartments, the Herculanense Museum, the historical library and the Chinese Room. The itinerary also includes the staircase on the Vesuvius side, which is adorned with statues from the Herculaneum excavations. It leads to the elegant exedra and the 18(th)-century fish pond.
Journey through Science:
Discover the site's extraordinary botanical heritage with a walk through the Botanical Garden, featuring the fern and palm groves and the historic greenhouses. The tour also takes in the Secret Garden, the Upper Forest and the dramatic Lava Flow, offering an in-depth look at the site's natural wonders.
The price of 75 euros (60 euros for students) includes: bus transfer, Reggia di Portici visit as well as the dinner (including drinks).
